Carneros Barn House is ideally situated in the heart of the famous Carneros wine region (“The Rams” in Spanish) in between Sonoma and Napa city centers. The region is famous for producing world-class, critically acclaimed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varietal wines. Do not fret if you are a Cabernet lover, though, as Napa is just a short jaunt.

Positioned in the middle of a spacious plot, the long driveway takes you to the sizeable Carneros Barn House with rustic timber-frame architecture and expansive vineyard views. With two spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms, the house is perfect for two couples that want to enjoy space and privacy. The casually and comfortably appointed living area has beautiful vaulted ceilings and oversized windows that bring in ample views, light and air. If there are more than two of you, the great room sofa has a Full size pull-out sleeper bed and loft area has a Single futon for that extra person.

If you are a professional chef or avid home cook, you will love this kitchen; complete with professional grade Viking range, Sub Zero fridge and cooking equipment. Plan your gourmet meal and stop at one of the several organic grocery stores in the area. The kitchen is also stocked with the basics for you or your chef to show off their culinary skills.

Dining on the property has several options. You can have a cup of coffee or breakfast in the sunroom, enjoy a meal in the large dining room or take advantage of the outdoors in the separate dining area with professional Weber grill and upstairs deck off the main bedroom that offers an ideal place to have that cup of coffee or sip a glass of wine and enjoy the vineyard views. If you want to eat out, you will have a hard time choosing from the wide range of restaurants from locals’ favorites in Sonoma, such as The Girl and the Fig, to the three Michelin star French Laundry in Napa. The Carneros Barn House is the perfect home base for sightseeing and wine tasting between Sonoma and Napa counties, by car or by bike. Turn left towards Sonoma with its historic plaza, wineries and restaurants, and go North on the 101 towards the “Wine Road”, Russian River Valley and Healdsburg; or, turn right to get to Highway 29, leading to the famous wineries of Napa, Yountville, St. Helena and beyond. Locally, the Carneros Appellation Wineries provide the perfect places to taste local, hand-crafted Sonoma wines. In the neighborhood, Ceja Vineyards, Carneros Brewery (Yes, a brewery!), The Donum Estate and The Fremont Diner are just a short walk from the property. Sonoma also boasts various art, music, film and wine festivals and shows year-round, such as Sonoma International Film Festival, Sonoma Wine Auction, car races at Sonoma Raceway, foot races like Wine Country Half-Marathon and various cycling races passing through the area.
